We are hiring a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance team in Ainsworth, NE. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to manage complex tax reporting and compliance, provide expertise in tax planning, assist with estate planning, and identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies. You will also collaborate on financial reporting, audits, and grant compliance, ensuring Sandy Pine remains a leader in both performance and accountability.

What you will be doing:

Prepare quarterly and year-end financial statements for taxes and bank reporting
Prepare and file Nebraska and Kansas corporate and owner tax returns, ensuring compliance
Review returns prepared by tax accountants, identify errors, and ensure accuracy
Conduct tax planning for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and estates
Provide guidance on USDA, NRCS, and other federal/state farm grants
Complete yearly value assessments and use them in fiscal planning
Prepare for and support Nebraska and Kansas tax audits and inquiries from regulatory agencies
Ensure compliance with Nebraska and Kansas Agricultural sales tax exemptions
Research and analyze tax laws, grants, credits, and regulations to identify deductions and strategies that minimize tax burden

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
5+ years of related experience
CPA license required
Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance, and reporting
Proficiency in tax/accounting software, MS Office, NetSuite, and QuickBooks
