McLain Farms is hiring a Farm Truck Driver – Mechanic to join our team in Statesville, NC (about 40 miles north of Charlotte). In this role you will be supporting daily farm operations by maintaining and repairing trucks and equipment while also assisting with grain hauling and field work during busy agriculture seasons.

What you will be doing:
Mechanical and Maintenance Duties
- Rebuild motors and or transmissions as needed
- Inspect farm trucks including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms to ensure safe and effective operation
- Test drive vehicles to diagnose issues and verify repairs
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and preventative service
- Utilize diagnostic computers to troubleshoot mechanical problems
Farm and Agriculture Driving Duties
- Transport harvested crops from field locations to on farm storage facilities
- Operate 18 wheeler farm trucks safely and efficiently
- Assist as a Grain Cart Operator during harvest
- Perform local truck delivery of grains
- Support additional field work during busy farm seasons
This job is for you if you have:
- Previous experience as a truck mechanic
- Technical certification or related mechanical degree preferred
- Experience working with diagnostic computers
- Experience driving an 18 wheeler
- Level A or B license required to operate farm trucks and agriculture equipment
- CDL is preferred but not required
- Strong navigation skills including GPS and map reading
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
