Beltsville Construction Supply, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Beltsville, MD. For over 50 years, we have been a reliable partner to utility contractors around the DMV. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting processes. You’ll work closely with our Controller and leadership team to keep our financial operations running efficiently.

What You’ll Do
As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:
- Match Purchase Orders with Vendor invoices to ensure they match
- Post and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain organized accounts payable records and documentation
- Run A/P aging reports and assist with account reconciliations
- Prepare and process check runs and ACH payments
- Handle month-end A/P close, including assisting with monthly disbursement account reconciliation
- Work closely with the Controller to produce weekly and monthly check runs
- Resolve vendor inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Assist with purchasing-related duties
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Order and maintain office supplies
- Support general administrative and accounting functions as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Prior accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in construction supply, hardware, building materials, or related industry is a plus
