Job Description:

To support this mission, Syngenta's Vegetable Seeds Team is seeking a Regional Value Pricing Lead in Woodland, CA. This role will lead the implementation and execution of value-based pricing methodoloy across regions, ensuring optimal price setting that maximizes customer value and business growth while adhering to global pricing excellence frameworks and methodologies.
Accountabilities:
- Execute pricing strategies aligned with global value-based pricing transformation initiatives, ensuring local market relevance while maintaining global consistency
- Implement value based pricing methodology to maximize value capture, collaborating with marketing teams to understand and incorporate customer needs
- Utilize market intelligence tools to analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to optimize pricing decisions
- Monitor and analyze price-volume-mix relationships, preparing regular performance reviews and recommendations to optimize revenue and profitability
- Maintain and optimize pricing tools and systems according to global guidelines, supporting the implementation of new pricing technologies within the territory
- Govern and address pricing discrepancies within geographies, ensuring compliance with global pricing policies and guidelines
- Facilitate Portfolio Price Setting process, incorporating market insights and value-based pricing principles
- Participate in cross-regional pricing excellence initiatives and best practice sharing, contributing to the global pricing community
- Support capability development within the territory through leading training programs and knowledge sharing sessions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or quantitative field required; Master's degree (MBA, Marketing, or related) preferred.
- Proven experience developing and implementing pricing strategies aligned with business goals and objectives
- Background in market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing trends and customer needs
- Industry knowledge including market trends and regulatory environment
- Understanding of financial metrics (revenue, profit margins, ROI) to maximize profitability
- Previous roles in pricing, revenue management, or commercial strategy (critical/desired)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques for pricing volume mix analysis
- Ability to identify pricing opportunities through quantitative analysis
- Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings/recommendations, and negotiate with stakeholders
- Leadership: Lead pricing initiatives, drive organizational change, and influence decision-makers
- Problem-Solving: Identify pricing challenges and develop creative, practical solutions
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in pricing analysis and recommendations
- Adaptability: Adjust pricing strategies in response to changing market conditions
- Experience working with internal teams (sales, finance, marketing) and external stakeholders (customers, partners)
Additional Information:
Salary for the role is $100,800 - $187,200 per year.
