Job Title: Wilderness Ranger/ Ranch Hand
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

As a member of the Wilderness Properties team (Cloud Camp and The Ranch at Emerald Valley), you will ensure total guest satisfaction through prompt and efficient service in a courteous and professional manner. You will perform basic housekeeping, landscaping, transportation, event/activity support, and guest service duties while projecting a professional image in line with Wilderness Properties and The Broadmoor's Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond standards.

What you will be doing:
- Smile and welcome guests with a positive, service-first attitude aligned with Wilderness Properties' philosophy.
- Greet, handle luggage, and escort guests to/from assigned cabins and shared areas while verbally acquainting them with the property, history, facilities, amenities, and safety guidelines (AAA/Forbes standards).
- Answer guest questions, anticipate needs, and ensure appropriate follow-through on requests.
- Deliver supplies, amenities, gifts, flowers, boxes, faxes/letters, and other items to/from cabins and common areas.
- Utilize a Broadmoor vehicle (when authorized) to transport items, linens/robes for laundering, and activity equipment between on-site locations.
- Assist with basic housekeeping requests inside and outside cabins (e.g., strip beds, clear trash, replenish ice, sweep porches).
- Detail and clean public areas and structures including decks, restrooms, hallways, rugs, furniture, draperies, floors, and stairways.
- Ensure equipment and tools are functional; report all necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform general landscape duties including clearing snow/leaves, mowing, watering, and maintaining lawns, roads, trails, and flower pots/planters.
- Assist with daily inspections and cleaning of hot tubs (where applicable).
- Assist with display, organization, and resets of the activities lawn and recreation spaces.
- Support or lead select guest activities based on training and property needs: guided hikes, crafts, yoga assistance, archery instruction, pickleball support, lawn games, and nature interpretation.
- Conduct historical, property, and special interest tours (as trained).
- Cloud Camp: Assist with mule ride operations (wranglers to lead/guide per training and protocols).
- Emerald Valley: Participate and assist in guest activities as trained (horseback riding activities coordinated per property protocols).
- Service tables and perform setup, replenishment, and cleanup for breakfast and lunch meal periods (as scheduled).
- Event setup/serving/cleanup and basic AV support for meetings, programs, and Overlook or lodge events.
- Understand and proficiently use the Point of Sale system (for activity charges, retail, or incidentals as directed).
- Cross-train in all Wilderness Properties duties to support smooth operations across both locations.
- Complete tasks assigned by leadership, and coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and at least one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or background in fishing, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, yoga, archery, volleyball and other outdoor activities a plus.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License preferred in order to assist with transporting items for guests and guests activities
- Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will be at an altitude of greater than 9,000 feet which the employee will have to acclimate to daily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and walk; use hands to handle, grip, point, feel and reach; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
