Sojourners' Ranch & Community is seeking a compassionate and dependable Chef/Cook to prepare daily meals for our small, family-style residential care home located outside Charleston, South Carolina.
Our chef prepares
lunch and dinner for up to 10 residents and a small ranch team, focusing on nutritious, comforting, home-style meals made with fresh ingredients whenever possible. Meals are an important part of daily life here, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming experience around the table.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily lunch and dinner
- Assist with light breakfast prep or planning as needed
- Create simple, rotating menus and incorporate resident favorites
- Order groceries and manage kitchen inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen
- Accommodate basic dietary needs or restrictions
- Assist with occasional special meals or small events
- Participate in monthly check-in meetings

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or chef
- Experience with menu planning and grocery ordering
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and food safety
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be able to pass a background check
