Kregel Dairy is a family owned and operated dairy and grain operation located in Guttenberg, Iowa. Our progressive dairy livestock operation milks approximately 400 head of cattle using state of the art Lely robotic milking systems. We take pride in combining innovation with strong animal care practices to support efficient and sustainable dairy operations.
We are currently seeking a Herdsperson or couple who enjoy working with dairy cattle and contributing to daily livestock operations. This individual will play a key role in managing herd health, supporting robotic milking systems, and maintaining overall dairy efficiency.
We offer competitive compensation of $23+ based on experience.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee daily dairy cattle herd health, including treatment, vaccinations, and monitoring fresh cows
- Identify and troubleshoot herd level health and performance issues
- Maintain accurate livestock and DHIA records
- Operate and manage Lely robotic milking systems
- Support feeding programs and overall dairy operations
- Maintain clean and organized facilities including stalls, robots, and work areas
- Assist with cattle genetics and breeding decisions
- Promote a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment across all operations
This job is for you if you have:
- Prior experience in dairy, livestock, or agricultural operations preferred
- Strong interest in working with cattle and learning modern dairy technology
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment such as skid steer is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Valid driver’s license required
