Job Description:

Product Development & Commercialization Lead for a remote position based in Eastern Canada.
Accountabilities:
- Execute pre commercial protocols and walk trial plots to collect agronomic performance data.
- Analyze trial results across diverse Canadian environments to determine product advancement readiness.
- Ensure all advancement criteria are met prior to commercialization.
- Act as the product expert driving pre commercial to product launch transitions
- Support commercialization route-to-market decisions, channel strategies, and market positioning for new products.
- Collaborate with agronomy and PPS teams to ensure technical accuracy and positioning alignment.
- Deliver technical training and product positioning guidance to commercial teams.
- Partner with agronomists and sales teams to optimize product mix and fit across customer segments.
- Position and promote products in all route-to-market channels, driving adoption and market share growth.
- Build relationships with licensing & distribution partners to ensure product placement decisions are strategic and are in line with Syngenta business goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Familiarity with Canadian seed market dynamics, grower needs, and competitive landscape.
- Minimum 5 years in seed product development, agronomy, product strategy, or product management.
- Proven track record in executing and evaluating precommercial trials across diverse environments.
- Experience in translating technical trial data into actionable commercialization strategies.
- Background in pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory management for agricultural products.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration between R&D, commercial, and supply chain teams.
- Ability to influence without direct authority across R&D, agronomy, sales, and marketing functions.
- Strategic thinking to align product development with long-term commercial goals.

The annual base salary for this position is CAD104,000-138,000. This range reflects market rates and is ultimately determined by several factors including the candidate's skill, experience and relevant education.
