Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Feedmill Operator to join our team! In this vital role, you will oversee the daily operations of our feedmill, ensuring the efficient mixing, processing, and delivering of animal feed. Your hands-on approach and mechanical expertise will help maintain smooth production flows, uphold safety standards, and support our commitment to quality food production. Position starting pay is $22/hour but negotiable based on experience and will be discussed with candidate during the interviewing process.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment to produce high-quality feed for laying hens.
- Operate mill controls and computer systems used to batch feed and maintain inventories
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain sanitary conditions at the feed mill
- Monitor feed ingredients and blending processes to meet precise specifications.
- Follow safety protocols diligently and be diligent around large equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading raw materials
- Hours are generally 5am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional fluctuation based on seasonal needs or priorities.
Experience
- Hold a valid CDL or "F" Endorsement or have the ability to obtain an "F" endorsement to operate feed trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment maintenance is essential.
- Familiarity with farming, agriculture, or livestock feed production will be advantageous.
Physical Requirements
- Going up and down ladders frequently
- Walking/Bending/standing frequently
- Sitting/standing
- Ability to work in broad climate conditions, including rain, snow, and both hot and cold temperature extremes.
