Product Manager at our headquarters in
Lenexa, KS. You will be a brand ambassador and business leader focused on delivering extraordinary experiences for the No Spill company, including our team members and customers. You will play a vital role in driving the business of our respective product line category(ies), by working with our sales, new product development, and engineering teams. We are looking for someone who will drive business and product strategy, execution, and results in a manner that maximizes long-term profitability. The Product Manager is responsible for the health, growth, and launch of an assigned product portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Immerse yourself in the No Spill new product development team and resources.
- Immerse yourself in the No Spill experience and become an expert in our product line offerings and potential for product line offerings.
- Use a combination of product instincts and data to drive decisions and results.
- Collaborate with new product development, engineering, quality, and regulatory teams to lead the definition, execution, launch, and assessment of innovative product enhancements.
- Collaborate with your peers to elevate the abilities of our equipment, resources, and opportunities for new product line growth.
- Along with the General Manager and Director of Supply Chain and Customer Care, define the cobrand cards strategy and share a prioritized roadmap.
- Work closely with the engineering and new product development team members to design and get the sign-off on current and new product line launches and product enhancements.
- Drive cross-functional team engagement (including but not limited to sales, new product development, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) through the product development lifecycle for our various product offerings and product accessories.
- Write customer stories, product descriptions, criteria, hypotheses, and success metrics for new product launches, features, or enhancements
- Provide transparency into the upcoming deliveries to the General Manager, Sales, and Customer Care team
- When needed, bring a defined group of collaborators together to identify potential solutions that could solve a problem and assess the implications of the solutions
- Support the senior leadership team with new acquisition initiatives while ensuring that they are achieving the Marketplace Product vision
- Proactively contribute to cross-functional team success, ensuring the best available information is included in product analysis and sharing new findings with peers and leadership teams
- Craft solutions or communication ideas for various differing product lines.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with (5) five years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in the plastic packaging and plastic manufacturing industries
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to blend creative problem-solving with data-driven, analytical, financial, and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems with data, assumptions, and judgment using best practices and analysis to formulate solutions and make decisions and/or recommendations
- Proven ability to drive change, including the ability to influence all levels, streamline processes, integrate, and associate pieces of information gathered from multiple sources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate intricate job-related processes that ultimately affect decision-making
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- A flexible schedule with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays
