CTE AGRICULTURE EDUCATION LICENSURE
- Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a teaching license in the CTE Agriculture Education license area (700).
- Non-licensed, residency licensure candidates are eligible based upon holding a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA, and 24 semester hours of related courses in agriculture; Related courses include:
- Agriculture
- Agriculture Education
- Animal Science
- Soil Science
- Horticultural Science
- Extension Service Science
- Veterinary Science
- Non-licensed, provisional candidates are eligible based upon holding a related degree with a minimum 2.7 GPA and two years of industry-related work experience within the past five years. Related degrees include:
- Agricultural Business Management, Agricultural Development, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Studies, Agronomy (Crops/Soils), Animal Science, Equine Science, Veterinary Science, Forestry, General Agriculture, Horticulture, Natural Resource Management, Poultry Science, Range Management
Work experience examples include:
- Animal Health Specialists, Veterinarian, Conservation Scientists, Environmental Science and Protection Technicians, Extension Agent, Farm and Ranch Manager, Foresters, Horticulturists, Integrated Agriculture Production Specialist, Landscaping and Grounds Keeping-workers, Nursery Technician, Wildlife Law Enforcement Officer, Zoologist, and Wildlife Biologists
- Eligibility for a residency or provisional license must be established prior to a contract offer.
