New England Tree Inc, located in Danbury, CT, has served Fairfield County and surrounding communities since 1976. As a family-owned, full-service tree care company, we are known for our commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and the long-term health of the urban and suburban forest. We operate a modern fleet and are expanding our team to meet growing demand across our service area.
We are seeking a full-time or part-time Connecticut-licensed Certified Arborist to join our field and client-facing operations. This role combines hands-on tree care with technical expertise - you will conduct assessments, develop tree care plans, lead crews as needed, and serve as a trusted advisor to our residential and commercial clients. This is a high-visibility position with direct input into our service quality and company reputation. We are looking for a member of our team who has an ambition to develop and manage their own segment of the business and wants to grow professionally and financially.
Compensation & Benefits
- For a full-time position, a base salary of $65,000 to $85,000 depending on experience and certifications plus uncapped performance-based bonuses tied to estimating and production targets

Key Responsibilities
Tree Assessment & Care Planning
- Conduct thorough on-site tree risk assessments and health evaluations for residential and commercial clients
- Develop and present written tree care proposals including pruning, removals, cabling, bracing, and plant health care programs
- Diagnose tree diseases, insect infestations, and structural defects; recommend appropriate treatments
- Prepare tree preservation plans and coordinate with contractors, municipalities, and landscape architects as needed
Field Operations & Crew Leadership
- Lead and supervise crews as needed on pruning, removal, and plant health care jobs
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with ANSI A300 standards and company protocols
- Enforce jobsite safety standards; conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Assist with training and mentoring of junior crew members
Client Relations & Sales Support
- Meet with clients to assess needs, present recommendations, and build lasting service relationships
- Prepare detailed estimates and follow up to close proposals
- Represent New England Tree professionally in all client interactions
- Respond to client inquiries regarding tree health, storm damage, and long-term care planning
