Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about production agriculture & machinery. You will be working as a team with engineers and technicians on the verification of farming equipment. In this position you will be performing field testing on agricultural equipment and will help to play a key role in enabling further product development. Being from a farm or having experience running or working on large Ag equipment is preferred. However, having the ability to communicate, take initiative and present yourself professionally with a great attitude is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver software test strategy and test plans for self-propelled windrowers
- Optimize software testing logistics across simulation environments to reduce test cycle time.
- Evaluate test environment functionality (on vehicle or simulation), and work with infrastructure teams to further develop testing functionality as gaps are identified.
- Execute tests on pre-production software and hardware to deliver performance verification results.
- Establish a deep understanding of agriculture technologies and application functionalities.
- Operate large agricultural equipment in test or field environment.
- Document and report any software bugs identified during execution of tests. Issues found will include appropriate and relevant data (CAN logs, software logs, etc.) collected for delivery to development teams for troubleshooting within a reasonable amount of time.
- Collaborate with system Engineers and other Technicians throughout course of work
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to work and adapt in dynamic, fast paced environment
• Must have positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Professional presentation and communication
• Ability to work individually and as a team with engineers and technicians
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed
- Willingness to travel (up to 25% travel to Ottumwa, IA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in operating, repairing and optimizing combines
• Experience in data collection and analysis
• Familiarity with Creo/ 3D modeling
- Prior experience operating large farm machinery
Details:
Job Duration: Full Time
Location: Silvis, Illinois
Compensation: $70,000-75,000 (DOE), plus bonuses based on experience, paid travel expenses
