Ellens Equipment is hiring a Parts Counter Salesperson to join our team in McBain, MI. In this role you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking parts for agriculture, farm, and other heavy equipment. As well as assist walk-in and phone-in customers by identifying their parts needs.

What you will be doing:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking parts for agriculture equipment, farm machinery, and other heavy equipment.
- Assist walk-in and phone-in customers by identifying parts needs, placing orders, and providing status updates.
- Process shipments accurately through mail service providers, ensuring correct addresses, billing, and postage.
- Support Service Technicians by locating and distributing parts for internal, warranty, or customer repairs.
- Ensure proper billing and return unused parts to inventory.
- Help maintain a clean, professional, and well-organized parts counter and showroom display.
- Work closely with the Parts Manager to maintain proper inventory levels and stock organization.
- Provide after-hours or weekend parts support during peak seasons when needed.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in solving customer issues or escalating them when appropriate.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Parts Manager.
This job is for you if you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of experience in the farm machinery or agriculture equipment industry, ideally in parts or service roles.
- Strong knowledge of agriculture equipment and farm machinery parts.
- Ability to manage inventory and understand how parts sales affect stock levels.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency is required.
- Attention to detail, orderliness, and routine process adherence.
- Basic math skills for pricing, margins, and billing accuracy.
- Ability to write and understand service notes, internal reports, and customer communications.
- Positive attitude and ability to foster team morale and cooperation.
