Buczek AG is hiring a Farm Mechanic – Operator to join our team in Medaryville, IN (about an hour north of Lafayette). In this role you will be maintaining and repairing farm machinery and agriculture equipment, while also supporting seasonal field operations when needed.
We are a progressive farm and agriculture operation located in Northwest Indiana, producing dryland and irrigated corn and soybeans. Our team takes pride in growing high-quality crops and working together to overcome the unique challenges each season brings. We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working both in the shop and in the field.

What you will be doing:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of farm machinery and agriculture equipment, including tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, and trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance and in-depth mechanical work such as engine diagnostics, hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, oil changes, replacing belts, bearings, and other components
- Manage and organize the farm shop, tools, and maintenance schedules
- Operate farm equipment during planting, spraying, and harvest as needed
- Utilize GPS and precision agriculture technology in field operations
- Assist with crop irrigation and seasonal fieldwork
- Transport grain to local and regional elevators or terminals
- Support general farm operations including grain handling, facility maintenance, and equipment upkeep
This job is for you if you:
- Have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining farm machinery, heavy equipment, or agriculture equipment
- Have a technical degree or at least 2 years work experience
- Enjoy working in a shop environment as a mechanic and take pride in diagnosing and fixing equipment issues
- Have experience operating farm or other heavy equipment; sprayer and application experience is a plus
- Have farm truck or CDL driving experience (preferred but not required)
- Are comfortable working outdoors and flexible with longer hours during peak seasons
- Are known for being a hard worker with strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
