Mas Ass Acres Sanctuary (donkey and mule sanctuary) in Washington State is looking for full-time, long-term, mature hard-working couple to live on-site with a passion for animals. Two people are necessary, as the work scheduled is for two separate full-time positions. Equine experience is essential; donkey and mule experience is a plus. Will be working for and directed by the Sanctuary Manager. Currently, we have 10 donkeys, all sizes, and 6 mules. Most are geriatric, take medication and need special attention, especially hoof care. RESPONSIBILITY: Twenty-four-hour security of property and animals, maintenance of equipment, property, and buildings. In addition, mowing grounds, clearing fallen trees, pasture management, and fence repair. Beneficial skills: carpentry, mechanical skills, and welding.
