Central Plains Co-op is hiring an full-time Sales Agronomist for our Agro Centre in Rosetown,SK.

The Agronomist works to acquire knowledge and experience to establish credibility and to develop ongoing, profitable sales relationships with the Co-operative's customers. Contributes to the overall success of the Agro team through support and cross promotion of Farm & Ranch and Petroleum services and products. Key responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Building and managing a customer base through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Executing sales plans aligned with retail goals and inventory strategies
- Growing sales and margins across seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products
- Providing timely crop scouting and agronomic recommendations that support product and service sales
- Promoting integrated agronomy solutions, including drone scouting, custom application, and soil sampling
- Supporting customer events, grower meetings, crop tours, and product demonstrations
- Cross-selling Farm & Ranch and Petroleum products and services
- Resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
The Sales Agronomist role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working in the field, engaging with producers, and building a successful book of business while seeing tangible results through customer success and sales growth.
In this role, you will build the knowledge and experience required to establish credibility as a trusted agronomic advisor while developing profitable, long-term customer relationships. You will also contribute to the overall success of the Agro team through collaboration and cross-promotion of Farm & Ranch and Petroleum products and services.
You are passionate about agriculture and bring:
- A Degree or Diploma in Agriculture
- 3-6 years of experience in ag sales and/or agronomy
- Strong relationship-building and sales skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to agronomic challenges
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Pesticide Applicator's License, WHMIS, TDG, and Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- CCA Certification
