We are hiring a
Division Manager to lead the daily operations, performance, and growth of Stettler Supply Company’s mechanical irrigation service division. This position is responsible for managing field personnel, coordinating service and project work, supporting business development effort and system sales effort, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The Division Manager works closely with ownership and the leadership team to align division operations with company goals while maintaining strong relationships with agricultural customers. This role combines operational leadership, customer engagement, and hands-on technical support as needed to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support field technicians, providing leadership, training, and technical guidance.
- Oversee scheduling and coordination of projects, installations, and repair work for irrigation systems.
- Manage and support quoting, proposals, and project planning for mechanical irrigation projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers and agricultural customers.
- Drive division growth through new business development and expansion of existing customer accounts.
- Ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with customer expectations.
- Support field operations as needed, including hands-on technical work, as needed.
- Monitor job progress, costs, and performance to support overall division profitability.
- Coordinate communication between office staff, field teams, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain awareness of inventory needs, equipment utilization, and resource planning within the division.
- Promote and enforce company safety standards and operational procedures.
- Keep ownership informed on division performance, project status, personnel matters, and business development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism within the division.
OCCASIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel to out-of-area job sites for multi-day service or installation work.
- Assist installation crews with new pivots or linear system builds as needed.
- Attend company training sessions, safety meetings, and manufacturer certification programs.
- Work extended hours during peak irrigation seasons.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in mechanical irrigation systems, preference for Reinke or Valley Pivots and Linears.
- Proven leadership experience managing operations, service teams, or field-based personnel.
- Strong business development and customer relationship management skills.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
