ole:
Leading a farm & ranch land management team with day-to-day care of livestock (bison & cattle). Oversees mechanical operations for handling water, feed, bedding, and manure, as well as for the many special operations involved in calving and breeding, euthanizing, and butchering. Assists in oversight for crops and ground care and fencing. Assists and supports lease auction events as well.
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Minimum Requirements:
Driving: Valid Class A-CDL driver's license or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of employment and free of occupational restrictions. Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier
Experience: 3 years' direct farm and ranch experience, with at least 2 of those being recent years, livestock management of a herd of more than 50 heads of undomesticated animals. Must be able to operate updated computerized farming and ranching equipment. Must have a valid Kansas CDL- Class A Combination driver's license or willing to obtain one within 90-days of employment and must be insurable with the Nation's insurance. A record of satisfactory attendance and performance in all prior and current employment.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Pesticide Applicator Certification or willing to obtain one within 90-days of employment, Current CPR certification for State of Kansas or willing to obtain in 30 days of hire.
