We are hiring a
Sr. Supply Chain Specialist at our main headquarters in
Roy, WA. The Sr. Supply Chain Specialist will lead product movement from multiple egg processing facilities in Washington, Oregon, and Montana to a key account, big box retailer. You will work closely with internal teams to coordinate production, as well as work with external carriers to ensure timely fulfillment throughout the Northwest. What You Will Do...
- Own daily/weekly production schedules across three plants, aligning with demand, inventory, and capacity.
- Manage daily order fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and service levels.
- Oversee sales orders and finished goods inventory; coordinate across sites to prevent fulfillment gaps.
- Support customer communications on delays, discrepancies, and order status.
- Coordinate with carriers and brokers to ensure on-time delivery across the network.
- Lead plant check-ins and weekly cross-functional meetings to review progress and resolve constraints.
- Balance production across sites to optimize throughput and meet fulfillment targets.
- Identify and escalate capacity risks, material shortages, and scheduling conflicts with solutions.
- Evaluate capacity needs, manage overflow with carriers, and optimize routing to reduce freight costs.
- Monitor delivery performance and escalate delays or disruptions for resolution.
- Track open orders against production and inventory to proactively resolve shortfalls.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize routes and reduce cost per delivery.
- Develop rolling forecasts to inform production, procurement, and inventory strategy.
- Analyze sales trends and seasonality to improve forecast accuracy.
- Report on fulfillment of performance, capacity utilization, and supply/demand risks.
- Support continuous improvement to increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve delivery performance.
What You Will Bring...
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, or demand planning - food manufacturing, perishable goods, or consumer packaged goods experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-site production coordination and high-volume logistics operations.
- Strong experience with transportation planning, carrier management, and freight coordination.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, order management platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong written communication skills for professional customer correspondence when required.
- Proven analytical skills with experience in demand forecasting and data-driven decision making.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
