Seeking a responsible part-time hand for a private, family-owned 900-acre ranch. This role focus on regular upkeep, infrastructure monitoring, and general readiness of the property.
Compensation: $18-$24 per hour (Experience-based) | Hours: 5-10 hours/week (Flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure: Maintain fences, gates, and roads using a tractor; seasonal brush clearing.
- Equipment: Maintain and operate John Deere tractor, Polaris Ranger, and ranch vehicles.
- Systems: Monitor water wells, pumps, storage tanks, and maintain the pool/softener systems.
- Livestock & Wildlife: Basic cattle health checks, headcounts, and maintaining wildlife feeders.
- Property Care: Weekly building checks, plumbing flushes, and coordinating with vendors.
Requirements:
- Prior ranch or farm maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate equipment in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
