Role Summary
The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies to achieve assigned revenue, customer acquisition, and market development objectives. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this role manages day-to-day sales and marketing operations, leads departmental staff, and supports commercial planning through accurate forecasting, reporting, and market analysis.
This position works cross-functionally to ensure effective order execution, customer satisfaction, and alignment with corporate standards, quality systems, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Revenue Support
- Execute approved sales strategies to meet assigned revenue, margin, and growth targets
- Manage sales pipeline activities and ensure timely follow-up and conversion
- Prepare and present customer proposals, quotations, and product presentations
- Support customer negotiations and pricing activities in coordination with the CCO
- Submit accurate monthly and quarterly sales performance reports to the CCO
Marketing Execution & Market Analysis
- Implement marketing action plans aligned with corporate sales and growth objectives
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities
- Support product positioning, promotional activities, and advertising initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate marketing activity effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, new products, and competitive developments
Customer & Account Management
- Manage assigned customer accounts and support customer acquisition and retention efforts
- Communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions to prospective and existing customers
- Address customer inquiries, service issues, and complaints in coordination with internal teams
- Support senior leadership in managing strategic customer relationships as required
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, organize, and supervise sales and marketing staff to ensure effective execution of responsibilities
- Communicate job expectations and monitor individual performance
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching activities in collaboration with HR and management
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to company policies and procedures
Sales Operations, Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports using approved CRM and reporting systems
- Track and report key performance metrics related to sales activity and marketing execution
- Ensure adherence to established sales processes, pricing guidelines, and approval workflows
- Support budget tracking and expense management in accordance with approved departmental budgets
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, service, support, and technical teams to ensure efficient order processing and customer satisfaction
- Provide product demand forecasts and market feedback to purchasing and management
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Promote and comply with workplace health and safety standards
- Ensure departmental adherence to ISO requirements, quality systems, and audit processes
- Complete all required training, documentation, and certifications in a timely manner
Performance Objectives
- Achieve assigned sales, revenue, and marketing performance targets
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting and timely reporting
- Support customer growth and retention objectives
- Develop and maintain a capable, well-trained sales and marketing team

Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in sales or sales management roles with consistent achievement of targets
- Experience in agricultural and livestock sales is beneficial
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills
- Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
- Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable plans
- Ability to perform effectively in a structured, deadline-driven environment

Work Environment & Travel
- On-site position within a professional office environment with manufacturing and warehousing operations
- Regular interaction across operational areas of the facility
- Domestic travel required, with potential international travel
- Estimated travel of approximately 30-40%, based on business needs
- Must comply with customer site access, biosecurity, and safety requirements
- Valid passport required for international travel (obtained at employee’s expense)
