Schaendorf Custom Farming is hiring a Farm Equipment Operator to join our team in Hopkins, MI (about 30 miles south of Grand Rapids). In this role you will operate and maintain a variety of farm machinery and agriculture equipment including choppers (Claas and John Deere), mowers, mergers, dump carts, manure spreaders, skid steers, lowboys, and excavation equipment.

What you will be doing:
- Operate a variety of farm machinery and agriculture equipment including choppers (Claas and John Deere), mowers, mergers, dump carts, manure spreaders, skid steers, lowboys, and excavation equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on farm equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with preparation and upkeep of equipment in shop and wash bay areas
- Support daily farm and agriculture operations with a focus on efficiency and quality
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
This job is for you if you have:
- Proven experience in farming, agriculture, or operating farm machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in agriculture equipment operation or repair
- Heavy equipment experience required
- Experience with manure systems preferred
- Class A CDL or F endorsement preferred
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to commute to Hopkins, Michigan
