Fabric Box Wrangler
We are a fast-growing quilt fabric shop on South Congress and we need someone who can help us send packages that are cute and correct to our customers (We call them quilt besties!). We don't throw stuff in our packages and hope for the best — we actually care that each quilt bestie gets a wonderful experience. If that sounds weirdly satisfying to you, read more.
Your day-to-day
Pack and ship Shopify orders — fabric cuts, kits, subscription boxes — with the touch of someone who cares
Help assemble and ship our themed quilt bestie boxes (it's a whole thing — in a good way)
Keep the shop somewhat organized so it doesn't turn into a fabric tornado
Pitch in wherever needed — It's a small team, everyone wears a few hats
You're probably a good fit if...
You're in Austin and can show up in person (remote box packing is not yet a thing)
You're fine on your feet and comfortable lifting boxes and fabric — nothing heavy, but it is physical work
Details matter to you — the wrong fabric going to the wrong person ruins someone's project
You see what needs doing and just do it, without waiting for a memo
If you're a quilting or interested in quilting it's a bonus, but not a requirement — we'll teach everything you what you need to know
Who we are
The purpose of Quilt With Miss Kate is to make quilters feel like they were invited to the cool kids sleepover in middle school. In 2023 Miss Kate started a small quilt brand on instagram and we have been growing like crazy since we opened. We sell fabric, curated kits and bundles, and quilt accessories. We're small, we're scrappy, we celebrate when people come to work, we love on our quilt besties, and the work you do here makes a real difference for real quilt besties who love what we create.
Drop us a quick email — no formal cover letter, no buzzwords. Just tell us a little about yourself and why this sounds like your kind of gig.
