Tiemann Land and Cattle, LLC (TLC) specializes in stocker cattle operations. Ranch locations in Pflugerville, Thorndale, Cameron, Buckholts, TX and Roy, NM. The main goal of TLC is efficiently maximizing cattle weight gains from heifers and steers that weigh 400 lbs all the way to cattle sale at the packing plant. Method of weight gain is primarily through rotational grazing.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Ranch Manager located on the TX ranches. The Assistant Ranch Manager will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day ranch operations, supervising farm and cattle care workers, managing livestock care, and overseeing agricultural activities. Additional duties include coordinating schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to best farming and safety practices.

Qualifications

Education - Agriculture centric associates or 4 year college degree. In lieu of a degree additional five years of experience may be accepted.
Experience
5 years in cattle husbandry, rotational grazing and holistic management experience considered
1-2 years in leadership or management positions
Skills
Proficiency including but not limited to the following areas; Ag equipment operation (tractors, plows, seed drills, bobcats, UTV/ATV), truck and gooseneck trailer up to 26K GVWR, heavy equipment considered but not required, horse riding considered but not required
Proficiency in Excel, Word, email, spoken and written communication
Spanish proficiency considered but not required
License – Valid Driver’s License required, meeting requirements to apply for CDL or current CDL license will be considered
Physical Requirements - Capable of working outside in Texas summer conditions in agriculture situations
