We are seeking an EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL NURSERY YARD MANAGER who will lead the management of yard operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and compliance with safety and quality standards. You will play a critical role in overseeing daily activities, optimizing processes, and providing leadership to an experienced yard team to enhance productivity and service delivery.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily yard operations, including inventory, material handling, and logistics coordination.
- In charge of Receiving, grading, and allocating plants to the right place in the Nursery Yard. Able to direct incoming semi loads, manage freight drivers and communicate directly with our Plant vendors to resolve any issues.
- Responsible for the daily presentation and aesthetics of the Nursery.
- Responsible for the Irrigation system, its proper functioning and plant coverage, troubleshooting, and repairs using outside vendors
- LEAD and mentor yard staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be responsible for a team of 12 experienced Nursery employees.
- Coordinate with our tenured Sales Associates and Plant Buyers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services.
- Responsible for the Yard facilities, buildings and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safety protocols
Requirements
- MINIMUM 4+ years of experience in COMMERCIAL NURSERY yard management
- Knowledge of local plant material with strong Plant ID- A MUST
- Bilingual (English- Spanish) highly preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and logistics principles
- Proven experience to lead teams and manage operational processes effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work outside in the elements daily.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in yard operations
- Ability to use yard management software and tools effectively
