SEASONAL POSITION WITH POTENTIAL FOR LONG TERM EMPLOYMENT!
$15/hour + tips/commission (~$16-18/hr)
Barking Springs Dog Ranch is a well established daycare and boarding facility located in Del Valle. We have a small team committed to providing first rate services for our dogs and our customers. We are currently seeking a seasonal Kennel Technician to help out ~30-40hrs/week this summer. Ideal candidate would be open to long term/permanent employment if the opportunity arises.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary job will be to monitor dogs in the play yards and ensure dogs are safe and healthy during play time. The kennel is open play, meaning the dogs spend much of the day playing with other dogs.
- Clean the grounds and facilities
- Feed dogs and provide medications as needed
- Perform basic grooming services such as baths and nail trims
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:
- Previous experience working with dogs preferred but not required.
- Be a proactive person with a great work ethic
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Able to work outside for extended periods of time
- Have a love and patience for dogs
- Have the ability to be on your feet for 5+ hours at a time.
- Reliable transportation to the Del Valle area is a MUST as we are a rural location
