Nutrient TECH, based in based in Dinuba, California, is hiring for a Remote Director of Sales & Marketing to join their leadership team to drive revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening the company’s competitive position in the agriculture sector.
Nutrient TECH, based in Dinuba, California, is part of the DE SANGOSSE group focusing on the development and marketing of advanced plant nutrition products and BioSolutions for agriculture across North America. Since 1986, Nutrient TECH strives to expand its production, quality control, and lab capabilities to support its advanced foliar nutrition and BioSolutions platform through its research and field programs to advance its new product innovations all grounded in sound science to support its growers and customers.
The Remote Director of Sales & Marketing will report to the CEO and be instrumental in accelerating the growth of our current high-value crop business in the Western United States, while strategically building and leading a team to drive market share expansion across the Eastern United States and Canada to distributors in both high-value and broad acre crops. The Director will oversee all sales and marketing functions, budgets, P&L, pricing, margin and brand awareness, while partnering closely with executive leadership to align commercial strategy with company objectives. This role will build and develop high performing teams including 4 full-time sales reps, 2 consultants, while leading initiatives that attract, convert, and retain customers.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy - including product, pricing, distribution, and promotion - aligned with revenue and growth targets
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performance sales team with clear goals, KPIs, and accountability systems
- Provide leadership and development for the current sales team while expanding the organization by recruiting additional sales staff across regions east of the Rockies
- Oversee pricing strategy and margin management
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities across the United States and Canada while building and maintaining strong customer and channel relationships
- Drive business development initiatives, including strategic partnerships, to increase market reach and share
- Track and evaluate sales performance by analyzing key metrics, trends, and forecasts to inform strategic adjustments and corrective actions
Marketing Leadership
- Work closely with our Marketing Agency partner to create and execute integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that elevate the brand and effectively promote products
- Oversee market research, competitor analysis, and customer insight initiatives to guide strategic decisions
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to design and execute high impact go-to-market strategies for new product launches and innovations. This includes development of materials like sell sheets, technical bulletins, PowerPoint presentations and demonstration trials
- Oversee all aspects of digital marketing, advertising, content, and events to optimize brand visibility and customer engagement
Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define growth objectives and develop long-range strategies that support the company mission and strategic priorities
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process with regional forecasts and product demand plans
- Work closely with manufacturing to ensure accurate forecasting and production needs are met
- Support innovation initiatives through partnering with the Product Development team to identify pipeline opportunities that strengthen our current product catalog or expand our product portfolio
- Align sales and marketing functions to build a unified, data-driven revenue engine to support sustainable growth
- Provide leadership, coaching, and cross-functional support to teams to ensure cohesive execution of key strategic initiatives across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science, Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- MBA preferred but not required
- 5+ years of sales and marketing leadership experience within the agriculture industry
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and leading high-performing teams
- Strong strategic thinker with exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities with a people-first leadership approach
- Entrepreneurial and growth mindset, solution-orientated, humble, and collaborative leadership style
- Strong understanding of the North American agricultural distribution model along with the segments of specialty nutrition, bio stimulants, and biofertilizers
- Ability to travel approximately 50 - 60% (domestic and international) to key markets, customer locations and industry events
