We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Landscape Logistic Coordinator with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record of at least three years to join our team.
As a Landscape Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our projects by running errands, procuring materials, and delivering them to job sites.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Driving and Transportation:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to run errands, procure materials, and deliver them to job sites.
- Transport personnel to job sites as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Safely load and secure equipment and materials on the trailer for transportation.
Material Procurement and Delivery:
- Run errands to procure materials, supplies, and equipment required for ongoing projects.
- Maintain accurate records of materials obtained and expenses incurred.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
- Unload and distribute materials at job sites, following instructions from the project manager.
Equipment and Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with the crew to ensure that equipment and tools are available and in good working condition for each project.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Collaborate closely with project managers, crew members, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and task coordination.
- Provide assistance to the crew(s) when necessary, including loading and unloading equipment and materials.
- Foster a positive work environment by demonstrating an excellent demeanor, can-do attitude, honesty, and integrity.
Schedule and Time Management:
- Maintain punctuality and arrive at the designated meeting point by 6:30 am every workday.
- Be reliable and follow your assigned schedule, unless otherwise specified by the supervisor.
- Communicate any necessary schedule changes or absences to the supervisor in a timely manner
Qualifications/Required Skills/Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Excellent demeanor and a can-do attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, outdoor work environment
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally more.
- Stand, walk, and move around for 6–8 hours per day, including on uneven or sloped surfaces.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and climb as needed to perform maintenance tasks.
- Reach overhead and below shoulder level repeatedly (for pruning, planting, irrigation work).
- Operate hand and power tools safely, requiring manual dexterity and grip strength.
- Exposure to sun, heat, rain, and other weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to balance, coordinate, and navigate obstacles safely while carrying equipment or materials.
- Visual and auditory ability to safely operate machinery, detect hazards, and communicate with team members.
