Job Summary: Woodsman Co is looking for a reliable and hardworking Job Site Driver with trailer and small machinery experience to join our tree service crew in Taylor, TX. You will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and debris, assisting with stump removal operations, and supporting the team in various site tasks. This is a hands-on role where you will progressively learn new skills in the tree service industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Transport: Safely operate a company vehicle while pulling a 20-foot trailer loaded with heavy equipment and/or tree debris.
- Equipment Operation: Assist in running large equipment and performing stump removal services.
- Tree Care Training: Operate as a member of a tree crew while learning to perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
- Crew Support: Assist in the removal of trees and identify tree species according to industry pruning guidelines.
- Site Maintenance: Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
- Safety & Care: Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including hand tools, chainsaws, and chippers.
Required Qualifications:
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record and experience pulling large trailers (20ft+).
- Background: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly; bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus.
- Teamwork: Must be able to work effectively both as part of a crew and independently.
